Remote Project Facilities Across Africa
Modular Buildings for Remote African Projects.
Practical. Precise. Delivered.
Owner-led modular building solutions for mining, infrastructure, oil and gas, and agricultural projects — where the wrong system, supplier, or specification can cost millions.

Direct Founder Involvement
Work Directly With Wesley Nel.
I stay involved where judgment matters: scope, system selection, site constraints, logistics, and the decisions that usually become expensive when they are rushed.

The expensive mistake is usually made before the building is bought.
Remote facility projects fail when the system is chosen too early, the site constraints are underestimated, the materials are wrong for the environment, or the supplier quotes a specification without challenging it.
By the time those mistakes show up on site, the cost is no longer just the building. It is transport, delays, rework, labour, downtime, warranty exposure, and reputation.
01
Wrong system
Looks cheaper on paper. Fails when access, offloading, installation skill, transport limits, or future expansion were not considered.
02
Wrong specification
Materials, fasteners, insulation, coatings, finishes, and services selected for price instead of actual operating conditions.
03
Wrong supplier
Quotes fast. Challenges nothing. Leaves the project team carrying the consequences when scope gaps surface on site.
What We Help Project Teams Build
We support remote project applications from early solution review through to modular building supply, installation planning, and project delivery support depending on the project location, facility type, and scope.

01
Workforce Accommodation Camps
Sleeping units, ablutions, welfare facilities, laundries, kitchens, dining areas, and camp support buildings for remote project teams.
02
Site Offices and Administration Buildings
Project offices, meeting rooms, open-plan workspaces, security facilities, and management buildings for construction, mining, and infrastructure sites.

03
Ablution and Welfare Facilities
Prefab ablution blocks, change rooms, showers, toilets, clinics, first-aid rooms, laundries, and support buildings for workforce sites.

04
Workshops and Warehouses
Clear-span buildings, maintenance support facilities, storage buildings, parts stores, and practical industrial structures for remote operations.

05
Agricultural and Packhouse Facilities
Packhouses, cold-room support buildings, dispatch areas, hygiene facilities, and operational support buildings for agricultural and food-processing projects.

06
Non-Process Infrastructure
Remote project support facilities for mining, infrastructure, oil & gas, agriculture, and construction environments where practical delivery matters more than brochure design.
Why RapidBuild Is Different
Designed around the site, not the showroom.
RapidBuild systems are selected and configured around the realities that determine whether a remote facility actually works: access, transport, offloading, local labour skill, corrosion exposure, climate, services, maintenance, and future use.
The system is selected after the site realities are understood.
01
Site Conditions
Corrosion, humidity, UV exposure, rainfall, temperature, dust, wind, and operating environment all affect the correct building specification.
02
Logistics and Access
Containerisation, road access, bridge limits, port handling, border crossings, and offloading method can determine whether a system works in practice.
03
Installation Resources
The right system depends on the people, tools, cranes, equipment, supervision, and skills actually available on site.
04
Application and Purpose
Accommodation, offices, workshops, clinics, ablutions, warehouses, and packhouses do not need the same building system.
05
Material Selection
Panel type, coatings, structural steel, fasteners, roof sheeting, finishes, and corrosion protection must be selected for the real operating conditions.
06
Lifecycle Cost
The correct answer is not only what is cheap to buy. It is what survives, can be maintained, and does not create expensive problems later.
How We Work
The goal is not to make the buying process slower. The goal is to stop the project from being locked into the wrong answer too early.
01
Project Review
We start by understanding the project location, site access, facility use, programme, known constraints, and what the building has to achieve in real operating conditions.
02
System Fit
We test which system makes sense before pricing: flat-pack, cabinised, panelised, clear-span, or a hybrid solution.
03
Scope Discipline
We define battery limits, inclusions, exclusions, assumptions, interfaces, logistics, and installation responsibilities before the project moves too far.
04
Delivery Planning
We align design, procurement, packing, transport, offloading, installation support, quality control, and handover documentation so the project team knows what must happen next.
RapidBuild Systems
System selection comes after the project is understood
No single modular building system is right for every site. The correct system depends on project duration, transportation, site conditions, cranage, installation, programme and budget.

Flat Pack
Flat Pack Modular Buildings
Flat Pack is a relocatable flat-pack modular building system designed for fast installation, compact transport, and repeatable project facilities. It suits accommodation, ablutions, change rooms, offices, kitchens, diners, laundries, and other site buildings where speed, factory completion, strength, and relocation matter.
- Open-plan unit in ~4 hours with 4 people
- Most work completed in the factory
- Strong steel frame — built to be moved
- Modules join long-side or short-side
- Can be stacked for double-storey buildings
- Requires cranage to offload, lift roof and move modules
Best For: accommodation, ablutions, site offices, and more.

RapidCabin
RapidCabin Prefabricated Cabin
RapidCabin is a lightweight prefabricated component-based cabin system assembled on site. It is shipped in component form and assembled onsite, it is suited to remote sites where crane access is limited and budget is important.
- Components bolt or screw together on site
- More site labour and skill required
- Some cutting and fitting on site
- No cranage required other than offloading containers
- Lightweight, practical and adaptable
Best For: cabins, welfare units, clinics, ablutions, offices and other support buildings.

RapidSpan
RapidSpan Prefabricated Building
RapidSpan is a semi-permanent to permanent prefabricated building system for long-term project facilities. Built on concrete foundations, it is suited to kitchens, diners, laundries, recreations, office blocks, clinics, accommodation, and project support buildings designed to remain in place for the life of the project.
- 20+ year design life
- Portal frame or lightweight steel trusses
- Ceiling, IBR sheeting, gutters, and sandwich panels
- Built for long-term, low maintenance performance
- No cranage required other than offloading containers
Best For: long-term offices, kitchen’s, diners, laundries, plant buildings and permanent facilities.
Generally we end up with a combination of multiple systems on a project as each building is serving a different purpose.
System selection should happen after the project is understood. RapidBuild reviews the application, site conditions, logistics, installation method, material requirements, and lifecycle expectations before recommending the most practical system.
Proof Without Theatre
Not every project can be named publicly. The value is in recognising the patterns before they become site problems.
Remote Accommodation Camp

Risk: repeated rooms, compressed programme, remote access, limited installation control, and pressure to make fast procurement decisions.
RapidBuild lens: transport density, module repetition, services interfaces, installation sequencing, offloading method, and site readiness.
Coastal Project Facility

Risk: corrosion, humidity, roof and fastener selection, exposed steel, and long-term maintenance.
RapidBuild lens: coating specification, exposed steel treatment, cladding selection, roof system, fixings, and lifecycle cost.
Industrial Site Office

Risk: unclear scope interfaces between slab, services, building, installation team, and handover requirements.
RapidBuild lens: battery limits, hold points, quality records, responsibility mapping, and early coordination between civil, building, and services scopes.
Agricultural Packhouse

Risk: hygiene, ventilation, cold-room interfaces, drainage, wet areas, and operational flow.
RapidBuild lens: room use, finishes, washable surfaces, drainage coordination, MEP planning, and maintainability.

Founder-Led Design
You are not handed to a catalogue desk.
Most remote modular building failures do not come from one dramatic mistake. They come from small assumptions nobody challenged early enough.
I stay close to the decisions that usually determine whether a facility works: the scope, the system, the logistics, the installation method, and the gap between what the specification says and what the site will actually demand.

The value is not only in supplying buildings. The value is in knowing where projects usually go wrong before the problem reaches site.
Who We Work With
We are not here to quote blindly. We are here to stop expensive mistakes before they reach site.
You do not need to arrive with a perfect specification. In fact, it is often better if RapidBuild is involved before the specification is locked.
Probably Not the Right Fit If…
- You are looking for private residential homes, backyard rooms, granny flats, or small domestic buildings.
- You need a quote within 48 hours before the site, access, scope, and operating conditions have been properly understood.
- You want a catalogue price to compare against three suppliers without discussing whether the specification is right.
- Your budget was fixed before the scope was understood and is not open for discussion.
- You have already chosen a system and only want supply, with no review of whether it suits the application.
The Right Fit If…
- You are a Mining / EPC / Oil & Gas or Contractor who needs Prefabricated & Modular Buildings for their project.
- You want the solution reviewed before procurement locks the project into the wrong answer.
- You are open to being challenged on system choice, specification, sequencing, logistics, and scope gaps.
- You value direct founder involvement through the key delivery decisions.
- You would rather receive an honest assessment than a fast quote that creates expensive problems later.
Start Your Project Review
Send your project for review.
Start your project review by sending RapidBuild the basic information needed to understand the facility, site, logistics, timing, and project constraints. You do not need a complete specification.
A practical review can begin with location, facility type, project stage, access conditions, site constraints, and any drawings or scope notes already available

*Important Note*
RapidBuild focuses on prefabricated and modular buildings for mining, infrastructure, oil & gas, agriculture, construction, industrial sites, and remote projects. We do not supply private residential homes, backyard rooms, granny flats, or small domestic buildings.
What Happens Next
Wes will review the project details personally and come back with the next sensible step — whether that is a clarifying question, a system direction, or a logistics check.
This is not an automated system. There is no catalogue pricing. It is a real review of whether the project is understood well enough to recommend the right approach.
